Invisalign®
Dr. Farinacci is proud to feature Invisalign® aligners as an alternative to traditional metal braces. Invisalign® invisible braces are clear plastic molds that are nearly undetectable while being worn. Using the Invisalign® removable aligners, crooked teeth are gradually corrected without the appearance of a metal smile.
Invisalign® Braces at Our North Canton Practice
Invisalign® braces are created using a three-dimensional computer imaging system for the most precise results. Dr. Farinacci takes bite impressions of a patient's mouth and creates a series of clear plastic retainers using the computer imaging system. Each set of Invisalign® retainers are shaped slightly different and will use gentle pressure to reposition the teeth into the desired position.
Patients wear each set of Invisalign® aligners for about two weeks, removing them only while eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing, before moving to the next set in the series. The total number of Invisalign® aligners depends on each individual case and will be determined by Dr. Farinacci. The average number of trays used is between 18 and 30, and the average Invisalign® treatment time is approximately one year.

Air Abrasion
Air abrasion is a drill-less procedure used by some dentists to remove tooth decay and for other functions. An instrument sprays away decay using a stream of particles propelled by compressed air or gas. The particles – silica, aluminum oxide, or a baking soda mixture – strike small areas of decay, effectively and gently removing them. Air abrasion is completely safe and offers an alternative to traditional drilling with numerous advantages:
- It doesn’t generate heat, sound, or vibration.
- It reduces the need for anesthesia.
- It allows more of the healthy tooth to remain.
- It reduces the risk of the tooth fracturing or chipping further.

Using laser technology, DIAGNOdent® detects and qualifies hidden or sub-surface cavities. Digital Radiographs
