Our first line of defense when it comes to preventive dentistry is seeing you regularly for dental cleanings. Each dental cleaning also includes a checkup, so we can take a look at your teeth & catch early signs of anything that may become a problem in the future. We strive to offer appointments that fit your busy schedule so you never have to miss seeing us every six months.
Children, teens, adults, seniors & those who are at risk for gum disease all have different needs when it comes to preventing dental problems. If you already have or are at risk for gum disease (i.e. periodontal disease), we may ask that you come see us more often for deep cleanings to keep things from getting worse. Children’s needs change quickly as they develop, so seeing us regularly is especially important to ensure they grow up with a healthy smile. And just because you’re all grown up doesn’t mean you don’t need preventive care: Adults & seniors need to see us every six months too!
Preventive care isn’t only about preventing tooth decay or gum disease. We can also screen you for oral cancer, detect bite problems like tooth grinding, or even detect signs in your mouth that may indicate problems with your overall health.
